Korting voor last minutes en nog meer korting voor vroege boekers

Goed nieuws voor Belgen die naar Tanzania willen komen naar aanleiding van de We Are From Belgium uitzending. Naast een stijgend aantal Tanzania safari specialisten in België die samenwerken met Onsea House, zijn er ook de grote Touroperators die proberen met last minute acties en extra vroegboekkortingen reizigers over de streep te trekken.

Tijdens de winter de Afrikaanse zon gaan opzoeken, is bij de Belgen populair met 23,9 procent meer touroperatorreizen dan vorige winter schrijft Trends. Voor Kenia stelt ABTO zelfs een groei van 175,5 procent vast doordat de directe vakantievlucht vanuit Brussel naar Mombasa en Zanzibar terug opgestart is.

Ook de reisbrochures voor de zomer 2010 zijn nu al beschikbaar, schrijft Het Nieuwsblad in zijn Lifestyle rubriek.

Jetair geeft extra korting voor wie vroeg boekt. Wie voor 18 januari boekt, krijgt een extra korting bovenop de normale vroegboekkortingen. Voor Zanzibar is dat zelfs 100 euro extra. Die komt bovenop de typische vroegboekkortingen die kunnen oplopen tot een paar honderd euro. Ook is het via Jetair mogelijk om een goedkoop promotie vliegtuigticket te boeken naar Zanzibar, van waaruit je met een locaal ticket over en weer kan vliegen voor je safari in Tanzania in combinatie met verblijf bij Onsea House.

Thomas Cook biedt kortingen die kunnen oplopen tot 250 Euro. Wie boekt voor 18 januari, krijgt bovendien 50 euro korting bovenop de normale vroegboek korting. Voor de eerste 10.000 boekingen met kinderen gelden eveneens speciale kortingen tot 1 april. Zanzibar is 1 van de nieuwe zomerbestemmingen in het aanbod van Thomas Cook.

Neckermann biedt tot 250 euro korting aan wie voor 18 januari boekt. Daarnaast zijn er kortingen naar aanleiding van de dertigste verjaardag van Neckermann. Dat gaat van 30 euro turbo vroegkorting over 30 euro korting voor dertigers tot 30 procent korting per persoon voor koppels die dertig jaar getrouwd zijn. Naast de Lastminute aanbiedingen in Zanzibar, kan je een verblijf bij een van de 6 grote resorts op Zanzibar in het Neckermann aanbod uitbreiden met een safari in Tanzania en verblijf bij Onsea House in Arusha.

Luxury lodge is helping to preserve the Serengeti

“Keeping prices high and tourist numbers low could be the way to preserve the Serengeti and make it profitable. The new, luxurious Bilila Lodge Kempinski is part of the plan” reports The Independent on Sunday in an interesting (and funny) article about the opening of the newest and most luxurious hotel in the Serengeti last week. The East African Business Week reported that the UAE owner Ali Saeed Albwardy of ASB Tanzania Limited, promised that there is more to come: “We promise to build more hotels in Tanzania. We are ready to invest in more hotels because the investment atmosphere is right. We have been in Tanzania for five years and already we have invested in Kilimanjaro Hotel, Kempinski in Dar es Salaam and Zamani Hotel in Zanzibar”.

Safari approved by Carmen Roberts, BBC World News’ Fast Track reporter

What a co-incidence: just after posting the news on female Wildlife presenters, starring Charlotte Uhlenbroek, we got a request from Carmen Roberts, also from the BBC, to organize a safari in Tanzania, after her trip in Kenya.

We put together a last-minute 3 day safari to Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire, in co-operation with one of our partner tour operators, taking into account the budget indications.

After returning from an “excellent safari”, enjoying a sundowner at the the terrace of Onsea House in Arusha, Carmen told us she is a journalist for Fast:Track, a travel programme on BBC World News for the business and leisure traveller. She was in Kenya to shoot a snake safari.
